Books & Looks, June 2025, Pt. I
On the European publisher you need on your radar, palazzo pants, and the best tea in Denmark
HELLO HELLO! I would say sorry I’m late, but I was awake and traveling from midnight Saturday to midnight Sunday EST after a fantastic trip to Copenhagen with my sister, Livvy, and a solo stint in London.
After sprinting through CDG and realizing my French muscle doesn’t flex properly when I’m in distress (sincerest apologies to the flight attendant I muttered “ça suffit” to when I meant to say “I’m good, thanks” x), I mercifully made my connecting flight home, where I was kindly informed by our charming, unbothered French pilot that we’d be without WiFi for…the entire duration of the flight.
Landing at JFK in a wool sweater in 90 degrees and spending 30 minutes trying to find my Lyft (I swore off public transport to/from JFK after a harrowing attempt on my way to Europe) was…an experience.
I spent Sunday consumed by a work project, Monday was a hectic first official day back, and I had to oversee a video shoot Tuesday. We’re three days late, but: WE MADE IT.
Could I have left this all out and simply apologized for the delay? Certainly. But I love complaining, so here we are.
Last month, I posted a note in which I wished for “better books and more looks” in June, and I am thrilled to announce that manifestation works, because the universe delivered handily on both fronts.
I spent the last week between Copenhagen and London, so I’ll be formatting this week’s post a bit more like travel diaries, spotlighting the books & looks I wore at each step along the way.
